CABLES-COMPUTER PROGRAMS FOR ROPE DESIGN
- This program solves the problems of calculation, comprobation and drawing of practically all the ropes known:
- :: Standars, seale, warrington, filler, warrington- seale compound warrington with textile, artifical (sisal or polipropilene) and metallic core.
- :: Ropes made with compacted strands, triangular, elliptical, flattened and combined strands.
- :: Ropes made with wires of an unique or multiple strenght
- :: Multilayer and non rotating ropes.
- All this ropes are drawn (with different amplifications), on one hand the strands, and on the other the ropes. Also it’s possible to check the clearances or gaps between wires and strands.
- All the strands and ropes are calculate in order to meet the requirements of DIN or BS standards. And it’s possible to calculate the strands with the wished gaps between strands as a function of the tolerance of wires.
The calculation in order to meet the standards may be automatically or manually made.
For the determination of the diameter of wires, it’s used.
- :: Either an exact dimension of the wires for ropes with extreme safety conditions.
- :: Or a reduced (standarized) series of diameters, that cam be fixed by the user, in order to reduce the stocks of wire.
- There is an special chapter devoted to the study of stresses produced on the rope by the flexion over a drum of different ratios between the diameter of the drum and the diameter of the rope. So, in certain cases, may be constructed ropes of high endurance for special purposes.
In the non rotating ropes, it’s previously determinated the small twisting angle due to the untwisting torque.
- Finnally, the last but non the least, in a determinated case the use of this system has produced a saving of more than 30900 Euros (200 270 US $) in a year. To see the information included in the Demo.
